One Sky HD box - 2 TV's

Hi,

I am wanting to share the HDMI output on my Sky HD box between 2 TV's. One TV is in my house and the other is in a summer house (shed) at the back of the garden. The Sky HD box is in my house and there's quite a distance between my house and the summer house so one of the HDMI cables will need to be very long (I'm estimating around 30 metres or 100ft!).

I will also need to remotely control the sky box from the 2 TV's.

Is all this possible? and if yes, what would I need to buy?

You can get wireless extenders for both remote control and HDMI.

Re: One Sky HD box - 2 TV's

thanks for the reply but all the wireless HDMI extenders I've found seem to cost a fortune!

can anyone recommend a cheap one?

How about something like this, could just use cat6 cable then and a magic eye over coax to control it.

This one has the option for ir, also comes in a 50m option.

Re: One Sky HD box - 2 TV's

Thanks for the replies.

Is there a device that will allow me to run multiple HD feeds to my summerhouse from multiple sky boxes inside my house? I won't bore you with details of why I need this (its complicated!) but if I have 3 Sky HD boxes in my house and I want them all to be shown on 3 different screens in my summer house (around 30 metres away)... what's the best way to do this?

Ummm ... 10 days ago you were concerned at the cost of buying wireless kit, now you're contemplating 3 Sky boxes, 3 TVs and 90 metres of HDMI cable?
