Amir Khan vs Manny Pacquiao

Fight is signed but Manny has Thurman on his plate first. Should he beat Thurman. Khan and Manny will fight for a world title or Thurman could invoke a rematch clause.

Bout expected to take place in Saudi Arabia later in the year with big purses on offer.

Not really sure how Khan lands these fights anymore. Years ago this would be a mismatch but I'll see who I back after Pacquiao fights Thurman. If Pacquiao can't get the power shots off like he used to then he may end up looking like an old man in there with Khan. If Pacquiao looks quick and hits well then I can't really see why Khan would take the fight other than money.

The wildcard and reasoning of course is sparring. They've both sparred each other for years and if Khan wants to take a bout for real then he must actually have the confidence.

Re: Amir Khan vs Manny Pacquiao

Pacquiao stuns Thurman. The guys still got it. Sparring is one thing but in an actual match up I struggle to see Khan getting to the point in the fight where Pacquiao slows down. He floored Thurman so he's absolutely capable of flooring Khan.

Questions of whether the bout will actually take place now of course dependant on a rematch clause with Thurman and the mandatory challenger to the belt. Khan being in at #5 (A worrying rank having only beat Billy Dib)
