WWF: 60% of wildlife lost since 1970

"Exploding human consumption" has caused a massive drop in the global wildlife population in recent decades, the WWF conservation group says.
In a report, the charity says 60% of all vertebrates - mammals, fish, birds, amphibians and reptiles - were wiped out between 1970 and 2014.
"Earth is losing biodiversity at a rate seen only during mass extinctions," the WWF's Living Planet Report adds.

We've also lost 20% of the Amazon Rainforest in that time.

Politicians, Scientists, Greenpeace, anyone and everyone . . we can publish papers, talk in the media until we're blue in the face, shout from the rooftops . . but until you find a way to stop people (companies in general) profiting from the demise of the rain forests this planet (and most life on it) is screwed

We are sleepwalking towards a end of a cliff and by the time we suddenly do something about it will be far too late.

And too many big greedy corporations who buy influence and power to ride roughshod over anything else.
