No, it'll recieve the freesat channels but it probably won't cope with either the EPG or any updates..

If you want FREESAT then you have to look out for the name FREESAT and not FTA

The main issue with using FTA equipment is that it'll also pick up all the sky encrypted channels so you'll have a lot of channels in the memory that you can't watch but sometimes this isn't a problem as many FTA system can sort out the channel listings into FTA group or even ignore encrypted channels on scan.
