It's Friday and wine time.

Spanish: Campo de Borja Old Vines Tempranillo-Merlot from ASDA. Very nice stuff in the sub £10 price bracket.

It was £7 for a standard .75 bottle

now these boxes are very tempting as I do go to Aldi weekly to get several things but I know exactly what would happen and do value being able to get up on a Saturday morning in a fit state to drive.

Coonawara Cabernet Sauvignon, bootiful. Visitors enjoyed it too but didn't tell them that there's the best part of a case left

You can't beat an ice cold glass of cider in the summer. There used to be a really nice one called Taunton Special Vat but not seen it for a long time.

It's summer where the Coonawara comes from so a bit of wishful thinking comes into play.

I was just wondering which variety of wine box you had for this weekend's glugging.... contemplates a trip to Aldi tomorrow

Vin De Pays D'oc Shiraz French Dry Red Wine £11.99 - only 12.5% alcohol, though
