431A to RJ45

Hey,

I need to make some cables that will go from a 431A to a RJ45 using phone cable(black, red, green, yellow).

I am going to use a standard 431A to rj11 and replace the rj11 with the rj45.

Any ideas on the pin order for the rj45 end ?

Thanks

Alex

Re: 431A to RJ45

thanks,
im using phone cable so there is only 4 wires and ive tired making it as a straight through and also a rollover but havent had any luck.
The problem is i don't know where the send and receive pairs should go on the RJ45 in relation to where they are on the 431A jack.

Re: 431A to RJ45

yep i know the pin out for the rj45

does this look right ?

phone RJ45

1 black Tx1 -------- pin 1
2 red Rx1 -------- pin 2
3 green Tx2 -------- pin 3
4 yellow Rx2 -------- pin 6

does the connection from the phone socket to the device(modem) need to be a straight through or a rollover ?

I got my info from

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RJ11,_RJ14,_RJ25
