It is all down to agreements with the individual broadcasters

Generally free to air services would pay Virgin to be on the platform rather than the other way around, these channels may not find the cost attractive enough compared to satellite and online.

There is no dedicated movie channel about the bible (that I am aware of)

Some of them are on Freesat. Any satellite dish pointing the same way as a Sky dish will receive the channels, and a Freesat branded box will show them with channel numbers in the 690s. The God Channel itself is 694, though I doubt God watches it.

According to my Freesat EPG they have Inspiration TV on 690, Daystar HD on 691, “R” on 692, God on 694 and Sonlife SBN on 695. Trans World Radio is also on 790. I have to say I think TWR is the pick of that bunch.

Freesat don’t operate anything except for the EPG and don’t do installs

You would need either an existing satellite dish or new one installed and a Freesat receiver which is available from most electrical retailers

Any local independent aerial installer in your local area can put a satellite dish on your house. You buy the Freesat box yourself from Amazon or wherever. *Do not* get “Freesat From Sky” - it’s not the same as Freesat.

Freesat From Sky is cluttered with encrypted channels and nag screens designed to get you to ‘upgrade’ to a Sky subscription.

Freesat is a very clean and easy to use interface and all the channels in its programme guide are free to view.
