Even a winning president must be sworn in again. Trump will certainly be ungracious enough to refuse to concede, but if the numbers are clear, and it is obvious how the State Electors will cast their votes, it’s fair enough to call the winner the president-elect even before that ceremony takes place. That said, the designation itself probably has no legal meaning before the election ceremony, so if any of the news networks wish to be as churlish as soon-to-be-ex-president Trump, that’s their prerogative.
Will sleepy Joe be allowed visits to the Whitehouse from his care home?
Marine One will be able to take him to and fro...

This slow count is now starting to get absurd. There are states that can literally only show a handful of new votes after several hours. America needs to sort this for next time.
Florida has 22 million people, they completed on the night.
Nevada has 3 million as is still doing it.
I know some states can't count before election day whereas Nevada can but that's still a joke.

Speaking of which - here’s how it was done 12 years ago...

You would need to ask president Harris, there's no way this about electing the old crumbling fart with dementia.

When your perpetrating the biggest fraud in human history it's essential not to be seen to be in a hurry ,if it takes longer it looks legitimate, this would make a great film it could rival the sting for it's audacity.

You’re sounding more and more like the Donald, lots of accusations, no evidence or facts to back them up.
Each of the States run their own elections - you appear to be accusing Georgia of scheming against their own party’s candidate...

It is not though that Florida was won so significantly that nobody really cares about a few thousand partially completed postal ballots, provisional ballots and absentee ballots.
They will still have officials wading through these things before finalising their results in a few weeks time. However nobody is rushing them, and nobody has a great interest in standing over them while they check these things as it won't affect the outcome.
I do agree though that the process needs to be ironed out and made consistent across the 50 states and DC.
