New Sim Problems

Has anyone got a new Sim from Virgin and had problems?
I have had no problem when I had my old sim. But due to changing my plan I've been sent a new one and I've been having a few problems.
To start with it I have an Iphone 8. First off I had trouble texting. A single line would take a couple of minutes to send in I'message and some times when trying to connect to the internet I get a message saying unable to connect.

anyone else had problems?
