RIP : Steve Priest (The Sweet)

The Sweet bassist Steve Priest has died, aged 72.
Quote:
The founding member of the rock band passed away on Thursday, the band confirmed on social media. The cause of death is not yet known.

So sad, they were on of my favourite bands during my pre-teen & teen years, in the early 1970's.

RIP

Re: RIP : Steve Priest (The Sweet)

RIP, they were before my time but I've heard their music so many times. In fact just been researching Life on mars and a couple of songs featured on a couple of episodes,

Unhappy Re: RIP : Steve Priest (The Sweet)

I grew up on their music. Block Buster, Hell Raiser, Ballroom Blitz - classics one and all. They don't make 'em like that any more.
