Virgin Mobile Internet Dongle

Hi Folks

I've had a Virgin Mobile dongle for some time now, and have hardly used it. Tonight, the first time I've tried it in ages, I was experiencing 'drop outs'. The software said it was connected to the network ok, but there was no traffic being transmitted or received.

The dongle is a Huawei E160 and the software I am using is what was installed from the dongle itself. The software appears to be quite old as it looks like something from Windows XP - even on a Vista or Windows 8 machine.

The software is version 11.002.00.04.351. The various modules listed on the 'About' page are all 1.01.

Is there some more up to date software available to download and install that may make things more stable?

Cheers.
