MODEL railways are getting steamy — with figures of people having sex.

Cheeky buffs are saucing up their trackside scenery with models in rude poses.

One set has a Peeping Tom staring at two protesting nude women sunbathers, another has a couple romping on a desk and one is of a naked elf.

The 18 figures, priced at £3 for one to £16 for a set of six, are made by German firm Noch and have nothing to do with iconic Hornby Railways.

<snip>

They are sold by Buffers Model Railways in Axminster, Devon, in the adult section of the shop’s website.

The most popular purchase is a pair of romping pigs.

Owner Maria Husson, 50, said: “All sorts of people buy them, for private collections or demonstration tracks.

“Normally they’d hide the rude figures in a house with a red light in the window, but if it’s just an adult audience they’d put them in view.”
Paywall linky

Model train sets will never be the same.

Re: Train Spotters Corner

Yup ... Man on BBC Scotland news last night was being interviewed at Glasgow Central, and telling people if they really wanted to travel to London by train, they should use the ECML instead. I can't think why anyone would - it takes a lot longer. I bet Queasyjet and Fly'n'Scare do well out of it this weekend.

Cheers matey. Now if only FGW can keep to a timetable. NOT.

Fortunately the connection at Westbury was even later (20 mins) then the train from Exeter (5 mins) so I didn't miss my booking.

When we travel up by train to see our family we have to connect at Westbury to get to Fareham and FGW reliable as ever are never on time as you say and vice versa its also the same for the return sadly.
