2nd 128K took 16810 ms = 7797 Bytes/sec = approx 65 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 19000 ms = 6899 Bytes/sec = approx 57 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 19120 ms = 6855 Bytes/sec = approx 57 kbits/sec
this is pants,,,,i'm supposed to be on 150k going to 300k why am i so slow!

Quite. So to reiterate what I said - South Manchester and parts of Herts/Beds were tested last week to see if our procedures worked, we got together and discussed how things went. Hence no upgrades since then.
It's all a lot simpler than some people are making out. Taking rumours as facts and what people guess goes on at ntl is a good recipe for getting in a muddle.

I would say that your problem is unrelated to the upgrade. Have you tried rebooting pc and BB connection?

To be fair - there could be a number of factors which is causing your broadband connection to slow down. As BBKing is saying no further upgrades have occured since the trial that they ran middle of last week, so I do not think you can blame the upgrades on your slow connection.

Hang on....if i download a test file using mIRC its running at about 18KB/sec...Thats about right isn't it...?

Well you wouldnt get that speed with the results you got from the test, I think thats normal speed for 150k

4th 128K took 1094 ms = 119810 Bytes/sec = approx 997 kbits/sec
That about right for 1.5mb???
