Having said that, I wish they would do trials for STBs in Bromley..

Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades

Quite. So to reiterate what I said - South Manchester and parts of Herts/Beds were tested last week to see if our procedures worked, we got together and discussed how things went. Hence no upgrades since then.

It's all a lot simpler than some people are making out. Taking rumours as facts and what people guess goes on at ntl is a good recipe for getting in a muddle.

Quite. I'm expecting my BB supplier to supply me with what i'm paying for, not to slow me down while they 'upgrade'.

I would say that your problem is unrelated to the upgrade. Have you tried rebooting pc and BB connection?

To be fair - there could be a number of factors which is causing your broadband connection to slow down. As BBKing is saying no further upgrades have occured since the trial that they ran middle of last week, so I do not think you can blame the upgrades on your slow connection.

Funny, I must have missed the item on the uplift meeting agenda that said 'bugger up people's connection randomly'. Must have nodded off.

Question Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades

Mon, 2 Aug 2004 19:43:05 UTC
1st 128K took 829 ms = 158109 Bytes/sec = approx 1315 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 1156 ms = 113384 Bytes/sec = approx 943 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 937 ms = 139885 Bytes/sec = approx 1164 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 1094 ms = 119810 Bytes/sec = approx 997 kbits/sec

That about right for 1.5mb???

Confused now
