Boom Radio
Boom Radio seems to be one of the most successful recent station launches in the UK, playing music targeted at the Boomer generation.
Does anyone listen to it? and what do people think of it?

Re: Boom Radio
Two of Boom Radio's presenters, David Hamilton and Graham Dene, were interviewed on This Morning earlier this week talking about Boom Radio.

Re: Boom Radio
Boom Radio is about to launch a second station, Boom Light, which will play music from the1950s as well as easy listening hits. This would compliment its main station which plays music mainly from the 60s and 70s along with, I believe, a small selection of more modern records.
Boom Radio really does seem to have struck a chord with many people from the boomer generation, which is where it gets the name, and bosses clearly see this success to warrant a second station which I guess will not sound that dis-similar to BBC Radio 2 of the late 80s and early 90s when its playlist was very much aimed at musical nostalgia.

Decades only radio stations really do seem to have become a thing in the current radio (and also now television) world with all three of the UK's major radio companies now having a portfolio of decades-only stations with MTV also launching specific decade television stations.
Boom Radio's new station seems to be aiming at an even older demographic than its main station as pensioners don't have the same station options to choose from so I can see it doing well.
