Re: What have you just bought?
A new 500W power supply for my desktop PC from Amazon. Bog standard unit at £25. Doesn't have quite the mix of connectors as the old one but will do the job.
At the moment I have some Molex to SATA power lead adaptors for the hard drives, the new unit has 4 SATA connectors as standard plus 2 Molex.

Re: What have you just bought?
Upgraded from my 8 Plus to an iPhone 11. I have the series 4 watch as well as the AirPods so I thought why the hell not.

Re: What have you just bought?
An Aqualisa Quartz Digital Shower Concealed (Gravity Pumped) - the previous one (10 years old) just borked itself this morning - amazingly, buying it from a retailer was £250 cheaper than from the manufacturer.
It gets delivered Saturday, fitted Monday.

Can't beat a fountain pen.
I still use the Parker 25 fountain pen I bought a school in 1981/2, I since bought another 2.

Re: What have you just bought?
I've never gotten on with fountain pens, I end up smudging what I'm writing as I'm a leftie as well

Re: What have you just bought?
I hated writing in school, they always gave me a pen that smudged. I also hold a pen weird. Easier for me to just buy a decent ball point pen when needed.

Re: What have you just bought?
A single .011 plain guitar string to replace the one that broke while fitting - my fault entirely.

And of course, now that's been installed, SWMBO wants the shower screen, bath siding, bath waste fitting, and the bathroom sink mono mixer tap replaced - just ordered them now.
On a happier note, my dearest darling had a bee in her bonnet about our front door needing replacing, and if we were doing that, we might as well(?) replace the inner porch door (what used to be the front door before the porch was built 10 years ago) - the guy who does that sort of work around our house (I'm mostly useless with that sort of thing, and we've used him for over 20 years) had an inspection, and can re-hang the front door so it aligns better (the porch had settled over 10 years, and the front door was slightly misaligned).
That saved me around £3k - he'll be getting a case of beer on top of what he bills us...
