Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
This is what is so annoying that VM know that customers are going to argue about BT Sports. And the amazing thing is that they are NOT saying anything.
This is why VM is NOT a customer related company - they wont say nothing. IF VM did get the channels then they can forget contacting em about approx £15.00 per month. They wont be showing enough football for me to go over to them.
But with VM, if they wont to compete with the big boys, there little babies at the moment, then they might as well close up shop and find a company prepared to take on the big boys.
SkY have had the channels testing for weeks, VM, all they are saying is ' Its coming soon' - we know what that means.

Arthur - you keep saying the same thing over and over again and many posters have responded myself included. Not sure which bit you don't get - they are still in discussions so they have nothing they van tell us apart from that??
BTW - they have been taken over by the big boys - the largest broadband operator in the world

But they are saying something - they are still in negotiations. No company is going to inform anyone on this or any other forums as to the status of those negotiations.
If they did then they are even bigger fools than some on here claim they are.
Sky are testing because they have it.
VM are not babies and the new owners certainly aren't. Their customer relations are below average in my view but certainly not the worst that I have encountered
Anyway regardless of whatever they say some on here would claim it's all lies designed to put people off moving ISP.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I thought it was BT Sports who had the channel slots on the Sky EPG and therefore they are testing their own channels out?
Sky are not selling BT Sports

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I was waiting to see what the deal would be with virgin and BT over the sports channels because I was considering switching back to virgin if they got a good deal with BT but I got tired of waiting and got BT sports on my sky box for £12 a month including the channels in hd free for 12 months. I also took up sky`s offer of half price broadband for 12 months (£3.75 instead of the current £7.50) which is a good deal I think. I know this was done to stop me from switching my broadband to BT`s but I`m happy. You do wonder what the sticking point is regarding Virgin and BT sports, don`t you? Anyway I hope you guys on Virgin get BT sports before the launch on August 1st

This ad ran on Thursday - if you download the Daily Star App you can view previous days editions. Don't know what other days (or papers) ran it.
They changed the rhetoric on Friday.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
You'll forgive me if I don't download the Daily Star app! Thanks for the screenshot. I've read it through looking for holes in the wording, but it does seem pretty clear. "from August Virgin customers will no longer be able to access ESPN". Would be great to read the small print, but I can't make it out.
End of?

The advert makes it look like we won't be getting BT Sport (& ESPN) from August 1st
