Re: Free V6 box
Yesterday was the fourth time in 2 weeks that I had to do a power-down reset of the V6 box. It had once more reported it could not contact youtube, access catch up or on demand.

Sounds like it is losing the connection to the SuperHub. Is it connected on Wi-Fi?

Re: Free V6 box
Blast, missed the headline offer... still up as an upgrade for £20 delivery (ok I suppose).
Only reminded to think about it, while running down my recordings, as the Tivo is now playing up …. turns on with no HDMI output detected until force restart - happened a few times now

Yes, when the wifi is on. It used to fail to find it automatically, but now it does.

Re: Free V6 box
Just want to double check here I got my V6 as a self install last month and I have just called VM today to arrange the return of my original Tivo and the guy told me to dispose of it in a recycling centre. Is this right? Are they not reusing these, just worried I got the wrong info and will get charged as some point if I don't return it.

Correct. Virgin Media now only want back V6 TV boxes and Hub 3 broadband kit.
Anything else can be recycled once disconnected.
Even if for some reason they did start wanting other kit back, it wouldn't be retroactive.

20 pounds charge for delivery?
I did not pay anything at all for my V6 to replace my TiVo, nor was I put on a new contract

They charged me £20 for delivery during the 'free' upgrade. A quick phone call got it reversed. Do Yodel really cost £20 ? 87p would be a more fair charge for the standard of service they deliver ...

£20 is an activation fee for the new service, not a delivery fee:

*£20 set up fee includes £20 activation fee + FREE delivery to store via Click & Collect. For optional home delivery, add £5.
