Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
After launching on BT in the UK, Amazon has now integrated itself onto Comcast in the US.
More reason to hope that we will be seeing it on VM soon. Resistance by the cablecos to embracing Amazon seems to be breaking down now.
Only a matter of time now.

Possible on Sky Q also especially if Comcast end up buying Sky.

I agree. Having accepted the principle of getting Netflix on Q, the addition of Prime is an inevitability, I would have thought.

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
The other day Sir Patrick Stewart said he has signed up for a brand new Star Trek set some 20 years after TNG but as of yet nothing is written.
It looks like CBS in the US will be doing it so that means like Star Trek Discovery it will also bet on Netflix, so I see a Netflix joining my Amazon Prime.

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
The new service, Disney Play, is described in the link below.
Given the Disney takeover of Fox, with Fox also owning Sky, it will be interesting to see if Disney Play will eventually offer the content of Now TV. In fact, Now TV could be closed down in that eventuality.

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
Eleven Sports have endured a challenging start to life as Britain’s newest sports broadcaster.
Quote:
Eleven Sports’ coverage received criticism, with users complaining about everything from a lack of log-in information to microphones picking up noises from American commentators.
|
Quote:
More significantly there were problems with the video feed. On Friday, viewers watching on Facebook were confronted with a blank screen, while on Sunday night the desktop service cut out just as Koepka was on the 18th green.
|
Quote:
With La Liga and Serie A kicking off this weekend, Eleven is set to be under scrutiny not just from viewers who could be paying a third sports subscription but also rival broadcasters.

Virgin Media is continuing its drive to add more features to its popular TV service.
The cable company recently announced it was adding more 4K Ultra HD content to its channels with BT Sport 4K UHD arriving on its top TV bundles at no extra cost.
And, in a bid to boost its customer satisfaction ratings, Virgin Media is rolling out a new service that will allow customers to track technicians when there’s a problem.
This means you’ll get real-time updates of exactly where your Virgin Media repair person is on the day of the call out.
Now there’s another big new update arriving on the platform which brings a big improvement to the Virgin TV Go app.
Virgin says that it's now allowing Full House and VIP customers to download their favourite programmes to compatible phones and tablets.
The upgrade offers more than 2,000 episodes of entertainment from the likes of Fox, ABC and Comedy Central, as well as Virgin TV’s collection of exclusive box sets, such as Kingdom and Ash Vs Evil Dead.
Speaking about the changes David Bouchier, Virgin Media’s Chief Digital Entertainment Officer, said: “Whether it’s bingeing on a box set on the beach or catching up on a comedy on a plane or train, our customers can download the best entertainment on the box direct to their phones or tablets with the Virgin TV Go app.”
Once a downloaded programme has been started, Virgin TV customers have 48 hours to complete it before it expires on the app.
Here’s a full list of channels whose shows can be downloaded on the Virgin TV Go app:
ABC Studios • Cartoon Network • Comedy Central • Crime+Investigation • Food Network • Fox • History • Lifetime • Nickelodeon • Travel Channel • Nat Geo • Syfy
