Re: Should more radio stations appear on Virgin Media?

My husband listens to Radio 5 live regularly on the TV from time to time. Why anyone would think it’s a stupid idea beats me.Too many purists it seems.

I don't understand why somebody feels something should be removed for everybody else, just because they don't use it.
A lot of people use radio via Freesat, VirginMedia and Sky set-top-boxes or tv sets - Sky even added a 7-day EPG for radio.
I'm not aware of how to receive the full content for all the BBC National radio channels other than the set-top-boxes.

And of course, once again TV-only customers don't have access.

Re: Should more radio stations appear on Virgin Media?

Broadcasters seem to be making more of their newer stations exclusive to their online / streaming platforms. Even the BBC has only added Radio 1 Dance and Radio 1 Relax to their BBC Sounds platform.

which I of course cannot access. Maybe these two stations should be considered for proper EPG slots as all of the BBC's other stations, apart from BBC local stations, are available to all TV customers.

I don't think they can without triggering an Ofcom investigation into competition with commercial operators. The BBC Sounds streams have been cleared by Ofcom.

No. But its not just the BBC, Bauer & Global also have app / online only stations and probably some of the smaller broadcasters.
