Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My BuCUE model kit has just arrived, all the way from Japan.
Now I need to find a couple of days to make it up. No glue is required for these but there's some delicate trimming up of the parts with a hobby knife to remove the sprue remains after the part is clipped out of the frame.
No painting either as the parts are already moulded in the correct colours and there are decals provided.
(See post #5662 in what have you just bought thread for details)

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Selling my 3 year old trusty RX580 this evening for £200 which is only £20 less than I paid in 2018. Could have got a lot more but then I would feel guilty. Mind you Scan did not feel bad charging me £669 for a RTX3060TI double the MSRP

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
A long time ago I was on a Channel 4 documentary about men who go bald prematurely. I saw it when it came out but that was it.
After a lot of tracking down and plenty of grovelling I’ve managed to get the production company to send me a digital copy to remind me of how absolutely embarrassing it was

I'll supply the popcorn and coke if you ever consider hosting a bald man gets waxed two feature show.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My niece popped over after work yesterday, she was telling us about the kiddies there, and she had an 8-month-old baby sleep on her, and she was getting broody.
I was telling her about the time she fell asleep on me, and she related to what I was saying.
She also was saying that her and her girlfriend were looking at moving in together near us next year.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Got the pooch booked in the kennels for 2022, so we can have a 10 day holiday in May, 10 days in July, and 10 days in September 2022.
We had been hoping for a fortnight in May and July, but it’s a small kennel that’s always booked up a year in advance.
Probably North Cyprus in May, road trip in July, and North Cyprus again in September (all things being equal) - our road trips in the last couple of years have been Massachusetts/Cape Cod, California, Italy, and Florida, but with only 10 days, probably somewhere in Europe next year.
"Yay, holidays!".

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Just got a Calor gas fire in from the garage. One of a pair from my late mothers house in Cornwall. It has half a pot of gas in it and there's also another full pot in the garage. Be silly not to use the "free" heat. Just lifting the chill in the kitchen diner now.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My lawn was only seeded in April and I am keeping it a couple of inches long so it has only been cut a few times this year. I prefer it to have a bit of body than scalped

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Had an interview today at a local airfield, I had to drive around the perimeter road, which doubles as a taxiway.
There were signs telling me to give way to aircraft.
Just waiting for a follow-up interview or rejection
