Re: What are you watching right now?
Currently watching "The Hairy Bikers" Food tour of Britain. Food Network. Nothing on the main channels for the rest of the day so this evening it'll be the last Star Wars Movie: IX The rise of Skywalker. Then some pop videos.
We've been through the whole genre this holiday so dire has been the MSM offerings.
Only last night's offering on ITV (Bond: Skyfall) was anything like a traditional blockbuster. Very much an early Bond spy thriller without relying on big set pieces and effects. Better for it IMHO.

Just finished watching the New Year's Day concert from Vienna and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. A yearly treat.

Re: What are you watching right now?
Watching the best Star Trek with my son. The original, daft and not too serious where as an extra you hope never to be given "The Red Shirt".

I have the complete set on the media server including "that" episode.
Red shirt you've never seen before usually cops it.
If you like TOS then Star Trek continues (11 episodes, free download) is worth a look. The sets were built from the original blueprints.

The entire production design of Star Trek Continues is absolutely beautiful. There’s more than just original set blueprints here - the lighting, costumes and musical score are all absolutely spot on. The only thing that lets it down is that the actors are all trying to precisely emulate the original performances and obviously they can’t - it would be a tall ask for a top-drawer performer but nobody on this show is. The result is that it skirts a little close to parody on occasion.
Having said that, it is head and shoulders above any other fan produced Trek you’ll ever see, much of which is truly awful.
