a few years ago, well, actually, about 20 years ago, I was at a music festival in Switzerland, Deep Purple were on, not my cup of tea, but thought I'll give them a go since they've influenced bands I like, they told the story behind Smoke on the Water, before playing it.
It was also interesting hearing them do Hush, having seen Kula Shaker do it earlier in the day!
Getting a taste for Classic FM lately, must he getting old ! Classical music just seems so peaceful and relaxing in this chaotic world.
BBC Sounds produce some nice classical music podcasts - I recently downloaded "Classical Focus", which is 2 hours of varied classical excerpts.
Great for listening to when I’m walking the Dalmatian - relaxing and soothing.
