We had perfect picture from Oxford and NICAM sound from London via a NICAM VCR - which at the time was the only transmitter with NICAM.

Use to watch the perfect Oxford BBC1 picture and feed in the London NICAM audio.

Was initially mainly horse racing - but I remember watch the first stereo Doctor Who this way (Rememberance of the Daleks).

Use to call BBC once a week and thet would provide a list of the NICAM programmes.

I pointed my aerial to Sutton Coldfield for my first NICAM broadcasts, before Waltham got it.

I think it was Desperado i watched.

I think it was from an Akai Hi-Fi NICAM Stereo VHS player.

I think you could just about get if off the back of a Waltham pointed aerial.
