NTL wired router

Just a quick post - i know sometime people may have trouble connecting a router up with NTL, as I have also, but I've just gotta say that I bought this router (wired) from Ebuyer for 16quid! and it works 100% perfectly! No dropped signals, no need to restard the STB. You can't fault it for it's price! The link is here; http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=52897

I well recommend it!

Take care y'all!

Andy

Re: NTL wired router

Hi andyshan and to Cableforum.

I got one of those when my daughter came to stay for a few weeks, plugged it in and everything was working OK in seconds. The only problem that I found was that I couldn't tracert but this was cured with a firmware update to the router. The built in USB printserver was a bonus.

Re: NTL wired router

Check your speed! - there are plenty of reports of this router mangling your speed ... 300k cut to dialup speed.

Do a broadand speed test or two, and see how it pan's out - I was considering that model, but rejected when I read those reports.

Two sections on it, and I recall a lot of "slow" complaints - maybe fixed by firmware updates by now, I suppose
