Re: Photo of the day
My dog Monty a couple of days ago taking a brief rest in the clover on his daily walk around local farm-land, taken on my el cheapo £30 (not so) smart phone so not particularly good!
The field of oats behind is looking rather better than the wheat that was grown there last year!

Thanks Jo, just saw the light and the stillness of the water on the way back from Tesco Local. Dashed up and got my camera to catch it. Bit of HDR post production...

Re: Photo of the day
It makes Manchester look quite exotic.
With the empty terraces you can almost feel the city holding it's breath before the night time revelers hit the bars and cafés.

Re: Photo of the day
The quality of some of the pictures on here has been simply fantastic.
What you are sharing is a window in time of your life. We get the pleasure of gazing on the very image your eye was fixated on for just a brief period.
Sorry to come across all deep and all, I just love when people connect and share their moments.

I snapped this 2 nights ago during an incredibly heavy rain storm. A drain cover had been blown clean off due to the ferocity of the of the water flowing through the drainage system. The picture doesn't fully capture the drama of the moment. The noise and the power of the water blasting up through the hole in the road was impressive.
