Terrible…

Just down the road from us, two teenagers died in the early hours of the morning, and another critically injured, in a horrible car crash - the Ring Road was shut (at that section) for around 12 hours….

Re: Two die in school bus crash

This was taking kids to my old school (Calday, the boys grammar). The girl who died would have been going to West Kirby, which is the girls grammar. Back when I was there these were catchment schools for the western side of Wirral Borough, but these days they attract kids from all over (provided they pass the 11+ entrance exam), which will be why there was a shared school bus coming up the motorway from that far out.

The injuries and trauma suffered here is going to weigh heavily on these schools for quite some time.

Saw that. Although the two are not really comparable the loss of life is lamentable.

In regards to the Leeds incident ( and we had a similar incident just down the valley from me near Halifax earlier in the year ), it’s young drivers, with a car full of teens driving like idiots.

As has ever been the case…

Not always the case, but I would argue that in todays world, any kid driving a car under the age of 23…………has to be funded by their parents. The insurance is too prohibitive.

So I do think the parents have a responsibility to ensure their kids are educated enough not be ********s behind the wheel.
