Google reveals gaming platform Stadia

Google has unveiled a new digital gaming platform called Stadia.

It looks like a traditional console gamepad but the Stadia version has a button for capturing and sharing gaming directly to YouTube.

It was also announced that id Software's major title Doom Eternal will be one of the first games available.
Interesting to what the gamers on this forum thoughts are on this.

Potentially interested depending on content available,

the share button is nothing new PS4 has had this functionality albeit not to youtube since pretty much launch, I'm not an XBOX person do dont know from that perspective.

4k gaming on stadia would require 25mbps , which is roughly the national average. but doesn't account for any other devices in the household etc.

Sony/MS and Nintendo would be wise to be watching this closely

Re: Google reveals gaming platform Stadia

latency is always the killer of these platforms, BR type games will be awful.

Re: Google reveals gaming platform Stadia

Going by the fact that google have so many data centres around the world I don't think there would be many issues with latency.

I like that their controller connects via WiFi so that should help with the input lag .
