Trouble't' Mill
Home office in turmoil after allegations of bullying.

Always felt that the current incumbent is a liability what with her past exploits, it now looks that power has gone to her head.

Quite honestly I don't sympathise with him, the fact he alludes to a "33 year career" just shows his arrogance.

Just a sign of the new bullying culture this Govt. is bringing back. It'll all come out as he's going to sue for constructive dismissal. This is what the Govt are afraid of which is why they tried unsuccessfully to pay him off.... Good for him, the truth must come out and not be buried.

Re: Trouble't' Mill
]Mr. K may be right in saying it could all come out in Court. Sir Philip would over-egg the bullying, the Guvmin could point to the man’s views getting in the way of policy.
33 years in the CS could mean dyed in the wool obstructionism; or it could mean wisdom. Had it been the latter, the situation could have been avoided.
You only had to note the CS behaviour toward Brexit to understanding what may well be coming to a head with this Guvmin.

What Brexiteers fail to understand us that they are going to be more dependent on the UK Civil Service than before. The Eurocrats need to be replaced. 50,000 more are going to be needed in customs for a start. Constantly seeing the CS as the 'enemy' and bullying those that can't answer back isn't going to end well. The British CS us the best in the World surely, or was Brussels better?

It's a sign of what happens when you wave two fingers at your boss, high time all these people were wormed out so the real work can begin without being sabotaged at every stage by remaniacs.

Yes, that's the sort of attitude that's the problem... It's as if Brexiteers always need an 'enemy'. First it was the EU, now our own Civil Service, very predictable. Guess they always were going to need a scapegoat when reality hits.

Pretty sure the most senior Civil Servant in the Hone Office, with 33 years experience, will have made sure that he has all the required evidence/witnesses for a Constructive and Unfair Dismissal case...

The Brussels CS is loyal to its government's cause. The UK CS, during Brexit, did not demonstrate that, albeit the government were at sixes & sevens. But the CS was pro-Remain and behaved as such.

I fail to see what this has to do with anyone that voted to leave, or anything to do with what understood or not?

Again, I have seen no evidence of people that voted to leave to “need” an enemy, or what any of this has to do with the people that voted to leave ?
I see from your posts that you are totally consumed with Brexit.
Most of us have moved on, we left already.

I know it's not her fault but she really does have a face you can't warm to. She looks like she'd sell her own granny if it'll further her own career.
