The beginning of the end for Spartacus started tonight. Good opening episode introducing us to Marcus Crassus
It does appear they are following historical events rather than taking a romantic turn. Which I feel is good for the end. I do not want to see another " I am Spartacus" scene and eventually all of them on crosses. Spartacus body was never found although a lot of his allies were crucified there is no evidence to support Spartacus was among them. I would like to see him walk away free which is a romantic ending but one that could just as easily be true

There is evidence to say he was killed on the battlefield though or injured enough to prevent him 'walking away' at least.
