You can now change your VM marketing preferences yourself in My Virgin Media

Like many i have been constantly spammed by VM on my house phone and mobile every few weeks and i was told if you didn't want to receive marketing calls you needed to either phone them up or contact someone on their forum to get this changed which i thought was a pain in the ass.

However after logging into My Virgin Media today i now see the option in My Profile/My Preferences to disable this myself.

Not sure how long it has been there but thought i would spread the word in case others didn't know.

About time, took me ages and several calls to get opted out. Every other organisation respected my opt out, apart from VM....

I bet they still phone! It'll take 28 days to accept the change to the preferences I think and is probably to do with GDPR.

Yes, unfortunately you can't be ex-directory from VM !
I phone them when I want a discount, thats the only time I want to speak to them
