Mine went from 2x64 which i had only had a few weeks to 4x16 and i even had a repull for a separate power level issue and even that didn't bump them up to 4x64.

But the repull still fixed my power levels on the V6 and i still get max download speed 24/7.

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

Internet just went off for 20mins and i now have 4x 64qam upstreams in CB24 area, this is significant as i have never had this before and have mostly been on 16qam, hopefully they upgraded something and the change will stick.

Still 4x 16 here, really struggling with the new 35 upload, suspect the 2 are related!

What's happening to my spelling? I got the 35Mb upgrade before I noticed the four bonded upstream channels.

Now on V.VIP and doing very nicely here in Coventry.

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

So the internet just went off for 30mins, this was preplanned as they sent me a letter.

The changes i can see are Downstream power level has gone from a high of 6.4 to 3.9 and the upstream from 38 to 40.

Upstream frequencies have changed, any idea what improvement this will give?

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

Everything is the same - just the channel order is different.

Except that the last two digits are different. Whether or not the old signal being so slightly off centre would give you a bad experience - I can't be sure. Instinct tells me that any degree of centre can give trouble.

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

Out of curiosity i just checked mine and while i'm still on 4 upstreams, they're all 64QAM rather than the 16 they used to be.

Maybe a coincidence but i'm also able to consistently see 35meg up now as well

EDIT: Also looking at downstream channel IDs my area now has at least 30 available so some kind of work as occurred recently

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

By moving from 16QAM to 64QAM, the packing density on the upstream has increased by 50%. That means they've cured the noise problems.

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

Not normal at all.

The frequencies are going off centre, but it seems that your Hub 3 is able to tune in OK. If there are no timeouts and upstream speed is fine, then you'll be leaving it to the network team to resolve once their monitoring tools alert them.

Re: 4 upstream channel bonding - post here

Hitting 'refresh data' isn't changing them and the readings from yesterday were taken straight after their maintenance work.

Whats the best speed test site that gives all the info like buffer bloat etc as i find the below has issues measuring the upstream and goes far fast than it should then it trips out?
