I have 2 x NVME drives, one of which has my O/S on it, this one has a heatsink block on it that came with the MB, the other doesn't have any form of cooling. I want to install my games on this second one but I don't know if it will overheat, any advice?
The drive with the heatsink is probably a PCIe 4.0 (gen4) drive which warrants use of a heat spreader as the data transfer rates these newer drives can sustain causes the controller chip runs a fair bit hotter than the previous generation of drives.
No harm fitting a third-party heatsink to your other drive for peace of mind.
Your SSD will be fine. Yes, they can get a bit toasty if you're hammering them but this will just cause a performance degradation after a while (until it cools down). It's unlikely that gaming will be a significant enough impact to even spot it, given that games tend to be quite bursty.
