Doctor Who book

I've been wanting to purchase a book detailing the history and development of Doctor Who but cab't seem to find anything suitable in the maze of different books about the series, both factual and fiction. Therefore, can anyone please recommend to me a book detailing the history of the programme.

Re: Doctor Who book

For the classic era, anything by Peter Haining would be a good place to start. They’re fairly easy to find on eBay. “25 Glorious Years” or “Doctor Who: A Celebration (Two decades Through Time and Space)” for example.

Re: Doctor Who book

The TV forum is not the right place for book questions. Moved.

Thank you for your reply and I shall check those titles out as it would be good to have a book about the history and development of the programme.

Apologies for putting this in the wrong section - I put it in TV because it was about a television programme.
