Really nice.

One of my favourites, and actually pretty easy from scratch. Red pepper, red onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric, ground coriander, cloves, dried chillies - blitz all of those. Fry in oil, then add the beef, then add coconut milk, salt & bashed-up lemon grass. Cook for as long as you want. Even better reheated the next day.

Re: What are you eating now thread?
Tuna and bean salad. Normally this is made with flageolate beans but these seem to be in short supply at the moment so I've substituted cannelloni beans.

Re: What are you eating now thread?
This weekend we had quests so had a braai.
Meaty pork ribs - rub on 2 days prior, slowish smoke, mop with apple juice and vinegar, finish with BBQ sauce.
Spatchcocked chicken in Greek marinade.
2 types of boerwors (South African sausage)
Pap with sauce (maize porridge a bit like mashed spud in consistency.)
Haloumi
Salads, bread.
Plenty of olives and biltong to nibble on while finishing off the cooking.
Sunday - leftovers
Tonight - braai leg of lamb
More haloumi
Flat breads
Salad
Tomorrow - Roast jerk chicken on the braai, sweet potatoes, corn, other Carib accompaniments.

Re: What are you eating now thread?
Just been to the Ivy in Leeds with SWMBO.
I had Rabbit & Langoustine Pie, Parisienne carrots with a tarragon cream sauce, watercress and a puff pastry crust, followed by a melting chocolate bombe with a vanilla ice cream & honeycomb centre, and hot salted caramel sauce.
SWMBO had Salmon & Smoked Haddock Fishcake, Crushed pea and herb sauce with a soft poached hen’s egg and baby watercress, followed by Creme Brûlée.
