Oh right, thanks for that Hom3r.
I thought the AF one was the only one left with working electrical systems.

Documentary on tonight about AF Flight 447...

Lost: The Mystery of Flight 447
Sunday 30 May
10:00pm - 11:00pm
BBC2
In the early hours of 1 June 2009, Air France flight 447, en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, disappeared over the Atlantic. Five days later the shattered wreckage was discovered, with all 228 passengers and crew dead. This film brings together an independent team of leading air crash investigators to provide the first credible solution to the mystery of flight 447. Conducting their own tests and simulations using the available evidence, their conclusions raise worrying concerns about aviation's increasing reliance on automated flight systems.

I don't know about the AF one they are trying to get back into the air, I was making a genral comment that the BA one were better looked after.
Either way I would love to show my Nephew and Niece a fly Concorde.

Re: Plane Spotters Corner
One plane I would have loved to see flying but I never got a chance was an SR-71.. As for Concorde I used to live next to Heathrow so used to love sitting in the twilight at Hatton Cross watching it taking off and going above my head with afterburners on

Re: Plane Spotters Corner
If any of you are up early tommorow (Sunday 6th June) and near East Midlands Airport, the Formula1 cars are heading out again after their time in Europe and there should be a couple of Cargo 747's coming to pick up all the gear and flying out to Montreal, Canada.
I believe the first one is in early, 8.40am and back out 10.10am.

Looking at it again it's the wheel cover (aerodynamic top cover) that he loses, hence as he flies away from the camera the wheels look different (I thought it was bent)

Re: Plane Spotters Corner
Cool. Nice photo. I think that's one of the Royal Airforces Tristars.
In other aviation news, today is the first day that Air france are doing their Heathrow - Paris route on the A380.
There are still a few seats at £80 return if anyone is interested.
I've got mine booked for later in July.
