D-Link DI-524 and 20Meg

Hi,

Has anyone got any tips for optimising a router for 20Meg broadband? I get 20Mb when connected directly to the modem, but this drops to 13Mb via router. Could this be a WAN/LAN throughput issue? Do I need a new router?

TIA,
Mike

Re: D-Link DI-524 and 20Meg

Just had a quick look through the data sheet and specs for this router but there's no mention of the WAN port speed. Does it say anything with regards to speed negotiation for the LAN/WAN ports in the router config?

It could just be that the router's code is ropey or the cpu can't handle anything over the speeds you're seeing. I take it you've upgraded the firmware to the latest rev.
