Hi, first post here so hello all. I am getting an error trying to read email. It says
"The connection was rejected by the incoming mail server 127.0.0.1" Its been like this since last night . Can anyone shed light on this. Thanks

Right before the latest outage I actually got an email straight away, it was amazing, I signed up to a forum using my ntlworld address and within 1 min the email arrived, sadly 1 hour later the email server died and has yet to come back

127.0.0.1 is localhost (in otherwords your pc)
to setup your email for ntlworld properly, remove any accounts that you have at the moment, and setup according to the instructions here
Chrysalis- when i left work at 8 the only email problems were with webmail, so should be back on now.

unless he is running some sort of program such as avast that sets it up this way , i cant be clearer than that as i am well on the way to being merry :hic:

Ahh, Thanks guys , I am using incredimail . I dont know what happened but I removed the account and reset it and I got 14 emails . Sorted. Thanks for your help

What if anything is wrong with Incredimail. I don't use it and am happy with OE or Outlook, the only reason I ask is that a friend of mine has just e-mailed me telling me how wonderful Incredimail is. The last time he told me about an e-mail add on I checked it first and it was full of spyware.
