Re: Amazon and Visa credit cards
Amazon says UK customers will not be able to pay for goods using a Visa credit card from January, blaming a "high cost of payments".
The online retail powerhouse emailed customers on Wednesday morning to confirm the move would take effect from 19 January and clarified that no other credit cards, or Visa debit cards, would be included in the ban.
I'm glad my Credit Card is a Master Card, will have to check what my Revolut is, my bank is also converting their debit cards from Visa to MasterCard.

As one of the original 2003 gang I do try to be good, did have a look around but missed the first thread. I do humbly apologise and will go and sit on the naughty step.

You didn't merge correctly so the first posts to the topic have gone! So this thread makes no sense.

That’s fine if you always have a decent balance in your current account. When you are on a reduced, fixed income as most people of pensionable age are it is not always as easy. Especially at certain times of the year such as Christmas.
Using my debit card at these times helps me to smooth out my expenditure. You also get extra protection for your purchases via credit card.
I suspect some sort of ‘agreement’ may be arrived at before Jan 19th.

Always best to pay by CC for protection, unless the person can't be trusted using a CC.
