Virgin Media TV Splitter

Hi All

Apologies if this has been covered.

If I split my TV Coax to 2 separate boxes will I get multi room or do Virgin have to enable it?

Jack

Re: Virgin Media TV Splitter

It's the other way around.

When you order multiple boxes from Virgin Media, they'll supply any appropriate cables you need once they confirm if you can do it yourself.

I understand what you’re saying but I purchased a second box off eBay and was intending to do the job myself.
Basically I just need to know if it will work or not

Uh oh.

Boxes remain the property of Virgin Media as far as I'm aware. The box you bought isn't registered to your account and I think it's unlikely that VM will agree to register it to you.

Re: Virgin Media TV Splitter

Correct - VM kit bought from third parties of any description will not work.

Re: Virgin Media TV Splitter

Thanks, that's what I suspected. I've not been a customer for some time now but I remember there used to be a huge amount of chat around this in the late NTL era because they seemed totally uninterested in collecting ex-subs boxes and eBay was always full of them.

Re: Virgin Media TV Splitter

if you want only to see the same channel on either of the TV's a splitter from neet ( only on Amazon as far as l know) works really well. running 2 TV's from a v6 with a HDMI cable . really helpful company

I second this, I also have two TV's running off 1 V6.

Neet products are great and also found them to be helpful when I have any questions
