Battlefield 3 Bad Company problem
I’m at the scene where you have to grab an RPG to blow up the tank.
Problem is the RPG just isn’t firing. I’ve picked it up, it appears to have ammo in it but when I press the right trigger nothing happens yet if I switch to my rifle it fires bullets fine.
Anyone else had this problem?
Edit: seems to be happening on Bad Company 1 as well when I try to fire an RPG at a tank
Really annoying.

Re: Battlefield 3 Bad Company problem
I've seen this but in later Battlefield games. It turned out to be the controllers if it wasn't a game breaking bug and the trigger thresholds for certain weapons. Rockets, snipers etc.
Rebind the fire button to the left trigger or a bumper. I can't remember if there ever was a trigger threshold setting in Bad Company.
If it isn't that problem, you're likely stuck with a game breaking bug. I remember you could shoot a tracer round with a tracer gun to lock onto vehicles in Bad Company but I can't remember that preventing a free shot.

Re: Battlefield 3 Bad Company problem
That sorted it, cheers. I changed the fire button to the left trigger and now it’s sorted.
What a weird and pointless glitch.

Re: Battlefield 3 Bad Company problem
If there's an option to change trigger threshold in the settings, changing it to 5% will also solve it.
The issue wasn't a glitch as such. It's that the threshold for RPG's and Sniper Rifles were as high as 95% requiring a near full press off the trigger, on worn out controllers, especially xbox 360 ones which had trigger and thumbstick issues after prolonged use.
Sadly from what I remember. Trigger threshold only became the norm in latter battlefield titles once the problem grew. Unless they've been back and patched it into the series.

Cheers for this.
There doesn’t seem to be a trigger “threshold” setting but there is for “sensitivity”. Is that likely to be it?

That could work. Can always reset to default if it feels horrible.

Re: Battlefield 3 Bad Company problem
*bump*
I finally found the solution (after not being able to shoot anything in GTA5)…and feel a bit (or a lot) of an idiot.
I have the Xbox One Elite controller and each trigger has a tiny switch underneath which alters the sensitivity.
I flicked the switch (as suggested by my 6 year old) and guess what…all sorted now.
