That's the view from my dining room, yes ... it's not right outside the house though, Beinn Narnain is about 10-15 miles away.

Re: [Merged] Snow!
I just hope when I'm taking my husband to his hospital appointment tomorrow that there is no snow on Portsdown Hill.

Re: [Merged] Snow!
I've been up since 5 am, some 2 hours too early.
I've been tweeting with Davina Macall, who has been stuck in snow for about 10 hours.
Looking out side it don't look to bad, so I'll attempt to get the crate of Stella to work. But if it gets work, I will wait and go in later.

Re: [Merged] Snow!
Ah the annual "Oh my god, its terrible there is snow everywhere" fest from the BBC and Sky when the South East gets a light dusting of snow that wouldn't register in most other countries of the world and certainly wouldn't cause travel chaos.

Agreed! But us southerners always think it's not going to snow and are shocked rigid when it does...

Re: [Merged] Snow!
Well it took me the usual time to get to work, the motorway was clear even though the BBC said only 1 lane was open.
I got he and one was here, luckily a keyholder turned up and let us in, 1 hr later only 2 manager turned up, so we might do our party early then bugger off.
When I do I'll drive off and never look back.

Re: [Merged] Snow!
had a light dusting in newcastle with a new front moving down from the arctic..apparently ..according to the beeb ,so the RAC were on telling people not to travel and if they did take a warm flask, a change of clothes, and a shovel also a survival book by bear grills a pack of huskies and a couple of Eskimo's to build a igloo
My god if a couple of inches of snow can bring this country to a standstill then what hope have we got ,people in Norway and Switzerland must be cracking up with laughing at us

Re: [Merged] Snow!
Don't forget we don't get heavy snow very often.
Countries like Switzerland and scandinavian countries get it all the time so they have invested in clearing it.
It pointless for us to spend millions on equipment thats going to spend the best part of 360 days a year doing nothing.
As Billy Connolly says, "there no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing."
