Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Lets hope it is as good as the previous animated Star Trek series that was made in the early seventies.

BBC America to make a TV series based on Terry Pratchett’s "City Watch" books.
https://deadline.com/2018/10/terry-p...ca-1202492604/
Quote:
The Watch, based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, has landed a series order at BBC America. The Killing Eve broadcaster has greenlit an eight-part series from BBC Studios, after Deadline revealed the project was in development in March.
The U.S. cable network describes the show as a “punk rock thriller” inspired by the City Watch subset of Discworld novels. The character-driven series centers on Terry Pratchett’s misfit cops as they fight to save a ramshackle city of normalized wrongness, from both the past and future in a perilous quest.
The Watch features many Discworld creations including City Watch Captain Sam Vimes, the last scion of nobility Lady Sybil Ramkin, the naïve but heroic Carrot Ironfoundersson, the mysterious Angua and the ingenious forensics expert Cheri together with Terry Pratchett’s iconic characterization of Death.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
The latest in line for a reboot is The 4400.
The series ran four seasons on USA Network, and is being rebooted on The CW. The reboot will be co-written and executive produced by Taylor Elmore and Craig Sweeny (a writer on the original series) with Elmore serving as showrunner.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
It doesn't need a reboot. The 4400 was a great show.
They are getting too trigger happy with remakes and reboots.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
I loved The 4400, I thought it was an excellent series. The Crossing was very similar in theme this year and has been cancelled and there is another one coming out as well.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Sweet, I heard rumours about that a while ago but they were unconfirmed. I thought that might also be why (although they deny it) all the Netflix series are being cancelled. It makes sense that Disney would want to bring everything together in one house and oversee production. The series' have their merits but they aren't as engrossing as AoS or the MCU and hopefully brining it back to Disney will remedy that.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
It depends on what Captain Marvel does and if Ant-Man gets stuck in one of those vortices and can go back in time and change the course of events.
