New Phone !

Guys, at the mo I'm thinking of getting a HTC Desire on contract,
Now If I get the 100 mins and use them up can I just "Buy" £10 credit ?

Reason I ask is cos I have never had a phone on contrack.

btw: I already have tv,bb & home phone with VM.

Thanks,
Mike.

Re: New Phone !

No i believe you can't do that with a contract phone, you would endup paying the normal out of tariff rates.

Make sure you get a contract that gives you internet with that phone, otherwise it will prove costly, and make sure you select the 'Yes, I'm a Virgin Media customer box' when ordering.

Re: New Phone !

if you go over your 100 mins , the extra mins. you use justs gets added on to your bill . Virgin start you of on a credit limit so if you reach that limit you will not be able to make more calls untill the next month starts.

Re: New Phone !

Just to say when you take out a mobile phone contract your minutes/ texts and data get reset every day your bill is produced. E.G

Say you take you contract out on the 3rd?

Your first bill is produced on the 5th (this is when the mins/texts and data will be renewed)

Also you will not be able to add any credit to the account, To account for the extra minutes etc that would be used. You would need to up the tariff that you take?

Re: New Phone !

ok thanks guys,
2 more things I'm not sure about:

1) Am I able to get a mobile on contract BUT NOT pay Insurance ?

2) How does a picture message work ? ie, charge wise, does it just cost you something like 2 text messages !

The one I'm after is the Samsung Galaxy s2
50 mins
250 texts
&
500 mb internet.

Re: New Phone !

Yes you can get a mobile on contract without insurance.

Picture messages cost 30p each and you have to send one to yourself to set it up otherwise when you receive one you get a link to view it online.
