It takes several days to settle down. I think these sort of injuries you never fully recover from.

I weakened and took another single Ibuprofen tablet and that's eased it enough to be bearable.

As you say heero nothing you can really do, as a injury like this does not really heal 100% unfortunately. Have you tried hot and cold packs on your knee. The reason I'm asking is when hubby used to get knee injury's from his Taekwondo day's that is what he done along with Ibuprofen.

Thanks for the tip. It feels hot to the touch so I'll try cooling it a bit.

With the high winds of late two of the polycarbonate sheets have been blown out of our greenhouse. I managed to get one back in and the next day another one blew out, going to be tricky getting it back in as it is in the roof. Anyone know how to get them to stay put?

You could try some silicone sealant which is flexible and UV resistant I suppose. A lot depends on the nature of the greenhouse and where it's sited but it's possible that making those panels more 'permanent' might cause more extensive wind damage to the rest of the structure so you'd need to think about that. Better to have to refit a couple of panels every so often than have the whole thing blow down...

Make sure the frame is well anchored down. Any flexing could encourage the panels to pop out.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Many thanks for that Osem and heero. I am happy that the frame is square and secured in place. I did put sealant round some of the panels as the greenhouse leaks like a sieve, and these panels do not appear to be affected, or just possibly luckily they were not.

There's a lot to be said for 'sacrificial' panels in windy situations. If you secure everything too much you risk losing the lot when things get rough.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Got kicked out of a pub on NYE as we had our 14 year old nephew with us despite the fact my sister contacted the before and they said it wouldn't be a problem.
But in fact the pub had a no children after 730 on NYE . It only became s issue when some vow complained when he played pool.

That was not good Hom3r at all, I think I would have been well annoyed especially if I had contacted the pub beforehand.

People taking their decorations too early. Christmas isn't over till twelfth night (5th January) !
CF is equally guilty, see we're back to the boring blue theme.....
