Help!
Last week I installed a wireless router to my desktop PC to give the kids internet access on their laptops. No real problems with setting it up (though I had to do it manually) nor with securing the network. All the PCs have internet now but theres one persistent problem - no email.
Hope this isnt a new problem and that theres a solution on the forum somewhere.
All advice and help gratefully received!

Details:
I have an NTLWorld broadband account that was transfered over to Virgin media.
Mail is pulled down from the server using MS Outlook 2000 running in MS XP SP2.
Mail was working fine through the NTL cable modem connected via USB.
New setup with the router uses the ethernet connection.
Router is a NETGEAR WPN824 connected via ethernet.
Its running CA Security Suite (latest version) and Ive tried mail retrieval with and without real time virus on and with and without anti-spam on. No change.
The error in outlook is timeout 0x800ccc19
email settings: pop3 / connect via LAN / no changes made to account or authentication password.
Router:
IP address is 'get dynamically from ISP'
DNS is 'get dynamically from ISP'
Router MAC address is set to default
Security: WPA2
(I have no access to my virgin account or internet email via the customer mail link on the Virgin Media site as my NTLWorld password no longer works and Virgin will only reset the password via email!)
