Re: Virgin Media Info

Didn't C&W do a big thing about "Getting to know you", I remember cows for some reason.

Wonder if it's a sign?

Edit - yess - I was right: Dodgy publicity stunt!

Yes, NTL:Telewest, Virgin.net, and Virgin Mobile will all become Virgin Media. Although I expect Virgin Mobile to retain its own name.

The only part of the company keeping the NTL:Telewest name is the Business division.

That guide shot was taken from a TV Drive box. Even though there is only one HD channel and one movie on the VOD HD.

The same banner is on the existing TV Drive software.

I thought Virgin.net was going to continue to run as a separate company?

I will need to look again, but I am sure the letter sent to off net customers mentions virgin.net coming under the Virgin media name.

Re: Virgin Media Info

It's letting you keep your existing email address or you can change it to @virginmedia.com.

Quote:
Over the next few months we’re introducing a brand new email service. When we do, you get the option to change your email address to a Virgin Media one or you can keep your old one - the choice is yours!

For example, you could go from JBloggs@virgin.net / JBloggs@blueyonder.co.uk to JBloggs@virginmedia.com

Atticus Finch is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Virgin Media Info

Thanks for the link

It does sound promising

I used to work for ntl in Manchester and as a Customer Service Advisor I did try my very best to offer the best customer service I could

It was the procedures and lack of back up that discouraged me

I have heard from one friend who is on leave at present and works for ntl Virgin Media and was told that Richard Branson has said that he will not put his name to rubbish and he intends to sort out the cable group

That sounds promising - I have a lot of time for virgin and respect them as a company

Branson will sort if out

We will be in a pickle if he does not

ooooops thats branstone isnt it

Actually, its about creating a true competitor to Sky (and boy, do they need one).

And of course, money.
