You seem to forget how things work here, admin actions do not need to be explained.

Re: Garden Shed Heating Question
I can tell you Paul did it. He can explain for himself if he wishes. For my part, looking at what you wrote, it looks unhelpful and rather sarcastic. I’m pretty sure you know people sometimes reply to a post that caught their eye before reading to the bottom of the thread.

Re: Garden Shed Heating Question
OK sorry I thought he was referring to me.
On the subject of felting the shed, what would be best to use Tacks or Heavy Duty Staples to secure it?

Re: Garden Shed Heating Question
Felt is normally secured with heavy galvanised clout-head nails.

No, Paul was refering to me and my post so don't worry.
As regards felting the shed roof I can only speak form expirience. I have used torch on felt on 2 sheds and one garage about 25 yrs ago, not one has suffered a leak to my knowledge. It was for family so they would have told me.(I was also a (hot) bitumen/felt roofer for 5yrs without one complaint or call back).
You do not have to remove all the plastic backing, just as much as you can. Then just seal each side with a blow torch, the rest will be done by the sun.
For sheds and garages only, I would not recommend doing it on a flat roof e.g. on an extention to a house, then it would have to be full torch on of at least 3 layers.
