Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Well who'd've thought it. William Shatner wearing a hairpiece back in 1968?

He was renowned for his hairpieces. The subject even has its own blog, which suggests he may have been using wigs regularly from the late 1950s.

I thought that was always known? I've certainly known about it for the past 30 odd years.

Great. Amazon is exactly where this needs to be to ensure it gets the respect and budget it deserves so it is done properly

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Its also being made by Alcon, who made "The Expanse".
Season 1 of Blade Runner will apparently consist of 13 episodes.

It is going to be perfect then. I am glad they have been given something else to do worthy of their efforts and deserving of their caliber. The Expanse set a high bar.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Alcon actually made the last film as well, Bladerunner: 2049.
(Fun fact, they also made, Dude, Where's my Car ? )

This piece of rubbish concluded the other day with pretty much the worst viewing figures CW has managed in years, just 234,000. Even Riverdale, which is not that popular, and in its 5th Season, gets more. All series generally lose viewers over time (and Seasons) but to fail so badly in a first season is quite something.

The PC machine is at work though because it was renewed for a second season.
I think this is sad for two reasons. Firstly, we know that they aren't even going to ask themselves or realise what is wrong with the show and fix it. They'll probably double down on it to prove a point and make it worse (e.g. Discovery). Secondly, so many good series get cancelled over the silliest minute decline in viewership, even if it is still in the millions, yet they are determined to go ahead with this because it is good for PR.
