Re: Renewals & Cancellations

What If has also been renewed for a 3rd season, ahead of any season 2 airing (no date for that as yet).

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

As everyone expected, The Flash has been cancelled.
Season 9 will be its final season, it will consist of 13 episodes.
Its due to finish in early 2023, meaning it will probably air on Wednesdays again, after Stargirl has finished.

Its also the last remaining official CW 'Arrowverse' show, so its ending basically sees the end of that shared universe.
Given the direction the CW is heading, its unlikely we will ever see any more such shows.

(Note: Superman & Lois was confirmed as not being part of the same universe in Season 2).

I do not understand the arrowverse thing, especially seeing as Superman and Lois appeared in the end of the multiverse crossover iirc

Superman & Lois (2021–present)
Quote:
Although initially conceived as a spin-off of Supergirl with many of the cast in the universe reprising their roles, the series' second season finale established it as set in an adjacent universe.
Quote:
[it was discussed] .... during the first season that the series would instead be on an alternate earth, which he could not reveal publicly until the end of the second season, which concluded in June 2022.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

I guess I just did not think enough with Series 2 to get the second Earth and multi verse thing. It is only when I am sat thinking now it dawns on me. Same as when I read earlier. hahaha

I was completely unaware until I read reviews of the finale.
