Well done. The key to successful soldering is to have everything really clean.
As an electronics engineer I was virtually born with a soldering iron in my hand.
To repair the rock I also needed the other essential tool: The solder sucker

I putit back on and it sounded like crap... That must have been a newer copy.. It was on CHORME tape..
I then fixed my original HOT ROCKS cassette and im glad I did!!! (I threw the other one out)

Re: What have you fixed lately?
The missus was the first to try the new over-the-bath shower yesterday afternoon. I was cooking directly below when drips appeared on the back burner, then on my head, then further back, coming out of the light fitting. Her weight had split the wall-to-bath seal.
I spent hours removing the quadrant tiling, removing all the old silicone, then sealing the gap. It has gone-off now, so I just have to put on a second layer before refitting the quadrants. The whole house smells of vinegar.

I've just added a second reinforcing layer of silicon sealant just in case.

Did you fill the bath before you put the new sealant on?

You mean carefully persuade the missus to get in first.

Good point, I normally fill it with cold water and leave it overnight while the sealant cures, but I could change it to Mrs G and cold water overnight as she's deffo got a density>1* so the extra weight would help
* Just need to add I love her however she is!!

Of course, and I cleaned and removed all the remnants of the previous silicon.
No leaks after our chunky son had a shower earlier.
The next job will be to refit the decorative quadrant edging.

Good, I'd have been surprised if you made such a rookie mistake.

Good afternoon dues how are ya??
I Just fixed one of my cassettes I got recently...Its VAN MORRISAON - VEEDON FLEECE and it wasnt playing well...... I opened the case and it was one of those ones where THEY DIDNT PUT ROLLERS IN!!
What kinda idiot ever thought not putting rollers in would produce good results??
I have seen a cassette as new as 1981 that didnt have rollers in it.. It is confusing why they didnt think that might not be a good idea???
I put the van morrison tape into another shell that DOES have rollers.... (I didnt wanna lose this copy as it was done from an analogue source, has no dolby and sounds goregous)

Re: What have you fixed lately?
Can anyone recommend a super cheap soldering iron and heat gun station(included in one) for less than £50 because my plan is to replace some PS5 dualsense controller potentiometers with the TMR no drift ones, I've got the soldering skills but my kit is knackered?
Edit
I'll probably end up getting something even cheaper from AliExpress as I won't use it for anything else and hope it lasts long enough for several stick repairs.

Re: What have you fixed lately?
The OSB doors on a cupboard I built in the garden 8 years ago finally turned into Weetabix. So I made new ones with OSB3, sealed with exterior PVA glue mixed with a bit of water-based paint.
